Safe Diving Standards
Code of Safety Requirements and Standards (cont.)
- Technical Diving permitted by those members qualified to offer it. All dives must be conducted within the limitations of the technical divers certification level or as part of a training class. All members must follow technical guidelines in Appendix ‘C’.
- Free Diving / Breath Hold Diving / Apnea permitted by those members qualified to offer it. All dives must be conducted within the limitations of the free diver’s certification level. All members must follow free diving guidelines in Appendix ‘D'
- CITA members are to recommend that divers follow current flying after diving guidelines as specified by their associated training agencies and organizations.
- All CITA members are recommended to have Scuba Cylinders visually inspected and marked every 12 months and Hydrostatically tested and stamped every five years.
- Violations of these safety rules and codes are to be handled in accordance with approved ethics and safety procedures.
- All members, upon renewal of membership or application for membership will sign and date these safety rules.
