INSPIRING GREEN LIVINGDOT And DOE Showcase Green Products, Programmes and Initiatives
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (April 27, 2010) The Governor’s lawn became a showcase for green living last Friday (April 24) when local businesses and government departments displayed their green products, programmes and initiatives to a receptive audience of students, Government officials and residents.

Cumber Primary and Heritage High arrived just after lunch to chat to the exhibitors and learn about ways to protect the environment. With green living very much on the agenda last week, with the 40th Earth Day being celebrated on Thursday April 22, HE the Governor, Mr. Duncan Taylor, spoke to the students, urging them to share the “green” tips learnt at the Fair with their teachers, fellow students, family and friends. Also on hand to speak to the children and exhibitors was the Hon. Julianna O’Connor-Connolly, Deputy Premier, and the Hon. Mark Scotland, Minister for the Environment. The Fair was then open to the public from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m.
